Intilaaqah Oman was launched in 1995 and has been progressing and leaping to further heights since. Its vision is to create an entrepreneurial environment and help small businesses to prosper. Intilaaqah recognizes that start-up businesses go through many obstacles at the early stages it therefore addresses these obstacles by providing necessary counseling and business development services. Throughout these years the program has contributed in the creation of many businesses and will continue to do so to achieve its objective of promoting and encouraging entrepreneurship.

History
- 1995 Intilaaqah was launched
- 2004 Number of trainees reaches 1,000
- 2005 Intilaaqah Enterprise Fund (IEF) was launched
- 2010 Number of trainees exceeds 8,000
- 2010 Intilaaqah and IEF were merged as a single program called Intilaaqah managed by GroFin
Intilaaqah's Objectives
- Supporting the development and growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s).
- Creating sustainable SME’s in Oman.
- Building the capacity of local entrepreneurs.
- Recognize successful entrepreneurs and promote the concept of entrepreneurship to others
- Contribute to the national strategy to diversify the economy
- Help alleviate the growing job seeking rate amongst young Omanis
- Demonstrate Shell commitment to the sustainable development of the Sultanate of Oman
