Intilaaqah Meets with US SME Experts

The Intilaaqah programme one of Shell social investment programmes, hosted on 10th June 2008 a team of experts in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) from the United States visiting the Sultanate to assist in establishing a comprehensive national strategy for SME’s development.

The delegation met with Abdullah Al Jufaili Intilaaqah Director, who presented an overview of the programme and the achievements to date. Al Jufaili highlighted the emergence of many public and private sector SME initiatives and emphasised that while Intilaaqah provides various services for SME’s, it appreciates the presence of these initiatives and plans to concentre more on delivering business skills training for entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs.

The meeting was also an opportunity to exchanging experience with the US experts on related areas.

For years now, Intilaaqah have managed to train more than 5,500 nationals and it has received the support of its renown partners including:  SANAD Programme, Knowledge Oasis Muscat, Sultan Qaboos University, Bank Muscat, National Bank of Oman, Oman International Bank and Oman Air.
