OCCI has always been very supportive to Intilaaqah. In 2009, it was officially announced that OCCI is a strategic partners of Intilaaqah Oman.

The Sanad program was established at the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to provide job seekers among citizens with opportunities to gain their living and to support self-employment projects and develop small businesses.

The Knowledge Mine supports and encourages the creation of knowledge and technology-dependent start-ups by providing an affordable working environment that makes it possible for companies and entrepreneurs to devote more of their capital to R&D, testing and the production of future goods and services. Moreover, with access to a multi-disciplined Business Mentor Programme, the Knowledge Mine provides start-up residents with experienced advice and support. Facilities such as meeting and conference rooms, photocopier, audio-visual equipment and reception will also be available to residents. In providing such facilities, support, networks, resources and training, the Knowledge Mine will help businesses and entrepreneurs turn their innovative ideas into market-leading companies.

 

 

Sultan Qaboos University

Sultan Qaboos University is the realization of the promise announced by His. Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said during the 10th anniversary of Oman’s National Day in 1980. Construction started in 1982 and the first Sultan Qaboos University students were enrolled in 1986. In accordance with the Royal Directives of His Majesty, The University commenced with five colleges; namely Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Education and Science. Furthermore the College of Arts was established in 1987, following the College of Commerce and Economics which was developed in 1993. The College of Law joined the University in 2006 and finally the College of Nursing was established in 2008.
